Pan Gallery exists
within the Northcote Pottery Supplies building. Comprising
manufacturing, retail of pottery supplies, workshops and class
rooms, kiln firing and artist studios, Northcote Pottery Supplies
is an exciting ceramic arts hub and an apt venue to display,
critique and celebrate this medium.
Located just off Lygon Street,
Brunswick East, there is a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants
in walking distance as well as an eclectic array of small
independent shops to explore. Pan Gallery is approximately a ten
minute drive from Melbourne’s city centre and has ample parking.
Alternatively, it is easily accessible on public transport with
tram routes 1 and 8 stopping, just a two minute walk away, on
Lygon Street.
Pan Gallery provides the
opportunity to acquire significant artworks and support and invest
in the future of Australia’s ceramic culture.
AIMS
◊ The role of Pan Gallery is to
support and promote ceramic practice by encouraging the creation
and presentation of innovative art works.
◊ Our aim is to present a balance
of emerging and experienced ceramic artists who have a passion and
dedication to their craft.
◊ We seek to celebrate ceramic
traditions as well as provide a forum for artists to challenge the
boundaries of contemporary ceramic practice.
◊ We encourage the exchange of
ideas between artists and a diverse audience and, with critical
debate, aim to promote public appreciation and understanding of the
form.
